Understanding of Intersectionality and Anti-oppression
I believe that every person has their own unique experience and different identities, including their race, sexual identity, gender identity, etc. I'm trying to understand my client based on their own intersectional identities and apply my understanding of intersectionality and anti-oppression to my practice. I'm eager to recognize the oppression that exists in our society, attempt to mitigate its effects, and empower my clients by addressing the oppression they experienced.
