About me
My name is Jenny Hsuan Fang Hsu. I am an English and Mandarin-speaking Registered Clinical Counselor in Vancouver, BC, on the traditional ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō, and səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. I am a cisgender, queer-identified, low-middle class, invisible disabled, Asian immigrant woman.
I specialized in Emotionally Focused therapy for individual and relationship partners.
I help relationship partners to build secure bonds, repair relationship, build trust and increase intimacy. I adapt Western psychotherapy to adapt to clients from BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ population. My approach is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and attachment-based.
In our time together, I would make sure you feel seen and heard in a safe space. I would be interested to get to know you, your story and the people who are important to you. You are the expert of your own life, my duty here is to provide a safe space for you to explore your difficult emotions that kept you stuck in a habitual pattern that no longer serves your purpose. I seek to meet where you are and to work with you in a culturally attuned, racially conscious, and LGBTQ2S+ affirmative atmosphere.
