About Me
Welcome! My name is Katelyn Pavey, and I am a Bachelor of Social Work Student at Vancouver Island University. I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies. I have several years experience working with young adults facing a variety of stressors, such as mental health, life transitions, academic stress, relationship concerns, and adjusting to life in Canada. I have also worked extensively with families, particularly those with young children.

I work from a strength's based approach, with being anti-oppressive and trauma informed. I believe that clients are the experts of their own experiences, and work to empower clients to process their thoughts. I am a strong believer that everyone can benefit from therapy, and that there is something so amazing about having a space to freely speak your mind without judgement.

I am very comfortable with talking about topics surrounding sexuality and relationships, and am sex positive, Queer inclusive, and sex-work positive. Working with young adults is my passion, as it it such a formative time with many life transitions (school, relationships, entering the workforce). If I sound like I may be a good fit, please reach out and we can set up a session!
