About me
I know it's hard to reach out for help. I know because I've been there too and I'm so glad you're here. I know you've been working really hard to keep it all together, let me help.
I specialize in supporting youth (12+), young adults and members of the LGBTQ2+ community as they navigate their gender identity, mental health, substance use, grief and ADHD. I have experience working in schools, hospitals and the criminal justice system and believe acknowledging and addressing systemic oppression is an important part of the therapeutic process.
You're unique and so are your problems. I take a personalized approach to each client that considers their context, their intersectional identity, their goals and their personal preferences. I am trained in a number of evidence informed approaches including Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Gottman Method couples counselling.
It's important that you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist and confident they have the right skills to support you. For this reason, I offer each new client a free consultation to make sure it's a good match. I look forward to joining with you on your journey to wellbeing.
