About me
I truly believe the foundation of effective therapy is trust and mutual respect within the therapeutic relationship. To provide a place where you are comfortable to express your experiences, thoughts and feelings without judgement.
My commitment is to greet you with empathy and care in a judgement free space. To work alongside you as we come up with your individual plan, and listen to understand as you navigate me through your world.
I work from several different perspectives including:
solution focused Brief therapy
cognitive behavioral therapy
narrative therapy
strengths-based
humanistic and person-centered therapy
mindfulness based stress reduction for adults and teens
I have been honored to work alongside many individuals and families from diverse backgrounds over the last 13 years. My focus has been on mental health education, individuals struggling with addiction and their families, anxiety and depression, and for the last 5 years directly with youth ( ages 12 +). I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers in good standing, and am a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers.
