About me
I have a wealth of social work experience working in the areas of child welfare, primary care, corrections, HIV and AIDS support, community engagement and health promotion.
My passion lies in advancing the interests of racialized persons living with dis/abilities and I have conducted presentations and podcast interviews discussing my own experiences being a racialized woman living with a speech impediment.
In building therapeutic relationships with clients, my interactions are informed by a vast array of treatment modalities such as brief-solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectal behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and emotion focused therapy.
I utilize a critical social work lens and operate from a cultural humility perspective in my therapeutic encounters with clients.
