About me
Hi there, and welcome! My name is Julia and I'm a Registered Psychotherapist with 9 years' experience working in counselling and mental health. I practice a creative, integrative approach that I tailor to each client. I believe that traumatic events (i.e. abuse, bullying, violence) lead to mental health challenges, and recognize that many people who have survived trauma don't even realize it. My approach helps you uncover, understand, and process the awful things that happened to you. As scary as it sounds, talking to a supportive, skilled therapist about your trauma does make you feel better. In fact, my clients often share that they feel less symptomatic, understood and validated after just one session.

Of course, talking about trauma can be incredibly difficult. That's why we always start by developing our relationship. Once you're comfortable and feel safe, you pick our pace as I listen, support, and help you understand that what happened to you was not your fault.

If you're not a trauma survivor, I can still help you. I'm also experienced in treating relationship issues, sexual health concerns, body image, grief, life transitions, and identity development. I work with people of all genders and orientations. I offer a 20 minute complimentary call to see if we may be a great fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
