About me
I am a experienced Psychotherapist, Racial Trauma Support Group Facilitator , Parent Coach and Mental Health and Sexual Violence Consultant based in Ontario, Canada. I have experience across a variety of treatment settings including: private practice and social services.

I am the founder of Nada Johnson Consulting and Counselling Services where I provide support to women and young adults ( 18+) coping with Racial Trauma, Anxiety, Role/Life Transitions, Imposter Syndrome, Self-Doubt and Parenting Challenges.

My Approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy:

I utilize a variety of techniques and skills drawn from various therapeutic modalities including Kniffley Racial Trauma Therapeutic Model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, African-Centered Narrative Therapy, and Trauma Counselling to support my clients in taking the next steps towards healing and growth.

I believe in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them figure out their challenges and achieve their goals. I also realize the immense importance in identifying all aspects of an individual's life that impact their well-being including their mental health, physical health, support systems ( family, friends), work or school environment and faith/spirituality in the therapeutic process.

I have a Master's in Social Work from York University and a Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction in Sociology and Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Toronto.
